Senior Funding Consultant
Stephen has worked in the field of youth and community work for over 20 years in various capacities, in rural and inner-city areas, in Christian and secular settings, in this country and abroad.
In 1995 Stephen gained his BA (Hons.) degree in Informal and Community Education at the YMCA George Williams College in London. Whilst studying in London Stephen developed a crime diversion project in East London working within a local youth organisation and developed youth work provision in a community centre on the Isle of Dogs.
Moving to Cornwall in 1995 Stephen has worked for the Cornwall Probation Service, Cornwall Youth Service, YMCA Cornwall, Kerrier Homes Trust and the Cornwall Youth Offending Team. The majority of this work has been developing and running new projects within the organisations.
Since 2000 he has been the fundraising consultant for over 70 different charities, churches and organisations securing £8.3 million in grant funding for good causes. This has created and sustained jobs for people in Cornwall and provided organisations the means to develop and improve their services helping those people most in need in Cornwall.
